Sacred Star – Handcrafted Southwestern Memorial Urn with Turquoise
Sacred Star is an original handcrafted memorial urn inspired by the colors, geometry, and natural beauty of the American Southwest.
At the heart of the design is a turquoise-colored stone surrounded by layers of intricate geometric forms. Turquoise blue dominates the composition, accented by deep black and small flashes of red that bring depth, contrast, and energy to the piece.
The radial design draws the eye toward the center and then carries it outward through repeating geometric patterns. For me, that circular movement makes Sacred Star especially meaningful as memorial art. It can evoke ideas of continuity, remembrance, connection, and a life whose influence continues through the people and memories left behind.
The warm neutral background allows the turquoise and black details to stand forward dramatically, while the dark border visually anchors the entire composition.
I create my memorial pieces as an alternative to conventional cremation urns. My goal is to make something that doesn't need to be hidden away—something beautiful enough to become part of the home and meaningful enough to serve as a lasting tribute.
Sacred Star is individually created and finished by hand in New Mexico. The handcrafted process gives the piece its own character and makes it especially suited for someone who loved turquoise, Southwestern colors, New Mexico, desert landscapes, or distinctive handmade art.
