Rhythm of the Mesa is an original Southwestern geometric artwork inspired by the powerful shapes, brilliant colors, and visual energy of the New Mexico landscape.
Deep black and warm ivory create a dramatic foundation for brilliant turquoise, aqua, cobalt blue, and subtle gray. At the center, a vibrant blue circular form becomes the focal point, surrounded by repeating arches, lines, steps, curves, and geometric shapes.

There are long horizontal mesas, enormous skies, layers of stone, sharp architectural forms, winding landscapes, and brilliant flashes of turquoise against earthy surroundings.
Rhythm of the Mesa takes that Southwestern visual language and transforms it into contemporary abstract art.
Rather than depicting a literal landscape, the artwork uses geometry, repetition, symmetry, and color to capture the feeling of the Southwest.

Turquoise has an unmistakable connection with the American Southwest.
In Rhythm of the Mesa, shades of turquoise and blue provide a dramatic contrast against black, ivory, and gray. The large circular form at the center immediately draws the eye and gives the entire composition a sense of balance.
