Eternal Sun – Handcrafted Southwestern Memorial Urn
Eternal Sun is an original handcrafted memorial urn inspired by the enduring beauty of the sun, the quiet colors of the desert, and the idea that the people we love continue to remain part of our lives through memory.
The centerpiece of the urn is a bold circular black design that radiates outward from its center. Set against a soft sage-green background, the strong graphic pattern creates a beautiful balance between contemporary design and Southwestern influence.
I chose the name Eternal Sun because the circular composition has no obvious beginning or end. For me, that makes it particularly meaningful for a memorial piece—it can represent continuity, remembrance, and the lasting connection we carry with someone after they are gone.
The understated color palette also makes Eternal Sun easy to display in the home. Rather than looking like a conventional cremation urn, it has the appearance of a small piece of original art that can live naturally alongside photographs, keepsakes, plants, and other meaningful objects.
My goal with New Mexico Urns is to create memorial pieces that families don't feel they have to hide away. Each design transforms the urn into something personal and artistic—a visible tribute to an individual life.
