Desert Awakening – Handcrafted Southwestern Thunderbird Memorial Urn
Desert Awakening is a handcrafted memorial urn inspired by the strength, beauty, and dramatic spirit of the American Southwest.
The design features a striking gold Thunderbird set against a deep black background, surrounded by bold lightning forms. A small turquoise-colored accent at the center provides a vivid focal point and a distinctly Southwestern touch.
The strong symmetry and contrasting gold and black give Desert Awakening a commanding presence while maintaining the dignity appropriate for a memorial piece. Rather than creating an urn meant to be hidden away, my goal is to create something that can be displayed as meaningful art—a lasting tribute that becomes part of the home.
Each New Mexico Urns design begins with an original artistic concept and is individually finished by hand. Small variations are part of the handcrafted process and help make each memorial unique.
